File Transfer

Listed below are available electronic filing services for counties and municipalities to use rather than filling a paper form. Please review the general information and then select the form/application you are interested in for more detailed information.

General Notes and Instructions:

Steps to follow in sending your file:

  1. Know where the appropriate file is on your PC or Network.
  2. Click on the Ready To Transfer link by each application name to begin the transfer process.
  3. In the "Select file type" box the appropriate application name should appear.
  4. Do not send zipped files.
  5. Select the appropriate radio button to the question "Is this a test file?"
  6. On the "Select the File" line, click on the Browse button to locate the appropriate file on your PC or Network.
  7. Double click on your file to attach it.
  8. Then click "Transfer" to submit your file.
  9. If you send a test file, see instructions in "Notes."

Financial Report Form Transmission for Wisconsin Counties and Municipalities

Wisconsin counties and municipalities may now file their Financial Report Forms (A, B, C, or D) in Excel format.
Statement of Assessments File Transmission

Ready to Transfer

Wisconsin counties may now transmit the Statements of Assessment directly via the Internet.

The Statement of Assessment reflects the property assessment roll for each municipality or part of a municipality within the county. The assessment roll is described in s. 74.45 of the Wisconsin statutes. The Statement of Assessments is described in s. 70.53 of the Wisconsin statutes.

  • The text file needs to conform to this format and the Alignment Specifications.
  • Counties that have sent an electronic file in the proper format are listed here. If your county is not on this list, please submit a test file prior to sending your actual file.
  • Due: May 15 - December 30
Special Districts Supplement File Transmission
(PA-521D)

Ready to Transfer

Wisconsin counties may now transmit the Statements of Assessment - Special District Supplement directly via the Internet. NOTE: The Special District Supplement for a municipality must be sent at the same time the Statement of Assessment for that municipality is sent.

The Special District Supplement reflects the property assessment roll information regarding Town Sanitary Districts (s. 60.70 Wis Stats), Public Inland Lake Protection and Rehabilitation Districts (s. 33.30 Wis Stats) and Metropolitan Sewerage Districts (s. 200.13 Wis Stats) for each municipality or part of a municipality within the county.

  • Counties that have sent an electronic file in the proper format are listed here. If your county is not on this list, please submit a test file prior to sending your actual file.
  • Due: May 15 - December 30

Treasurer's Settlement Sheet File Transmission

2007 filing is closed.

The Settlement Sheet reflects the property tax settlement by each municipality with all taxing jurisdictions. The settlement process is described in s. 74.25 of the Wisconsin statutes.
